Funeral of Noel Brady: arrangements update

Noel Brady, who recently died at his home in Norwood MA in the US, will be brought back to Kilcullen this week for funeral and burial.

Noel will be reposing at his parents John & Anna May's family home at Mile Mill, Kilcullen on Wednesday with prayers at 8pm. Removal from there will be on Thursday morning at 10.15am to the Church of the Sacred Heart & St Brigid, Kilcullen, via Knockbounce and Lough Wee, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.Burial thereafter in St Brigid's Cemetery, Kilcullen.

Donations if desired may be made to St Brigid's Hospice, the Curragh, for which purpose there will be a donation box in church..

BRADY, Noel J. 42, of Norwood, peacefully at home surrounded by his family, Thursday December 7. Beloved husband of Eleanor (Taylor), and devoted father of Patrick Brady. Born in Dublin, Ireland he was the son of John and Anna May (Tierney) Brady, brother of James Brady, nephew of Ellen Brady, uncle of Jacob and Saoirse Brady all of Kilcullen, Ireland, and many nieces and nephews, here in the United States.

Noel earned his Technology degree from RTC Cork, prior to emigrating to the United States. He worked nights for many years for UPS in Norwood, which enabled him to be a stay-at–home Dad during the day for Patrick. Noel enjoyed gardening, and was an accomplished boxer.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday December 10 from 2 – 6 in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rt. 1A), NORWOOD. Funeral services and interment will take place in Ireland.
